    Interesting thing to pick up on. I'd encourage you to follow along with the story and possibly read the prequel if the time allows.

    Jude had been obsessed with her before the marriage. Something that she thought stopped gradually during the three years until she thought he was completely cold on her.

    In light of recent events - after realising he's read all of her messages to Valentin and reacted violently - she is re-evaluating his level of interest in real time.

    Also - he speaks in chapter 5 as to his level of involvement and priorities. He find that business and personal interests often arrive at the same elegant solution

      I think Jude is incredibly realistic here because guys like him only start to show real effort when they want something or most importantly feel like they’re gonna lose u. So when he sees she’s detached from him and into Valentin??? all of a sudden he’s husband of the year. Hahaha

       

      Also am I tripping or is the reason he said he likes her weight gain (but the girls made fun of her for it) is to control her even further / make her feel not beautiful? I could be wrong tho
