How have I not read this yet??? Your writing is always so phenomenal like what the heck
I loved just how. Confusing Dick's perspective was. Like he genuinely didn't know what was going on and that carried over to my perspective where I could totally understand what he was feeling. And Bruce being worried for Dick?? 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
The "I love you" and "chum" stuff hit me right in the feels and I've taken a million points of HP feels damage. Thank you. Honestly this gets me thinking about what would happen if Dick did actually end up being permanently deaf/semi-deaf. And I really like how you made it so he could "hear" his own voice. Because there's many kinds of deafness, but sometimes a deaf person can still hear their own voice but be completely deaf to everything outside of them.
Thanks for this lovely story! It was wonderful. Love me some fantastic Dick whump 💕💕💕💕
(me just sitting in the corner blushing furiously)
Thank you! Writing confused people is always so confusing (hah!) and I am very glad to hear that it worked!!! And that Bruce's perspective added another layer of whump and pain! The worry of another person often ups the Whumpiness as I am very sure you know! ;)
That was their intent! ;D And, yeah, part of my brain is very sure that Dick remains at least partially deaf after this endeavor is over - and that he learns to deal with it! Yeah, I think it depends which part of your ear/ear nerve/brain gets damaged so you loose your hearing - this was mostly for the whump purpose of Dick not realizing what was going on, but there is some medical facts to back it up, you are right!!! <3
Thank you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much for your beautiful comment! <3
