In reality, things should not have gone the way that they should have. She should have been stronger for her boys, she should have been there when they fell and picked them up again. But she can't, not when she pushes herself down, and down and down further and deeper into her own psyche, into what made up that little fraction of insanity and inanity.

In which things are made real, and the realism is too much for a child's mind.

Notes:

Canon was never as good describing the hell that was the world building. Sakura was placed within a genjutsu the first day of the forest of death, and it seems to have been shaken out of her after seconds to have her moved to that 'motherly' position of the squad, where the most important priority was the boys. This left a bitter taste in my mouth, and took it upon myself to... spice things up.

Or, in which I absolutely fucking destroy a child for my own animosity of her, and cast her away as a failure of canon. Thank the devines that I love Sakura like she were my own, and have my sins washed by the love that I give her on an almost daily basis.
