Summary
Eric made his way over to one of the benches, taking a seat. He folded his arms over his chest, leaning back in the seat and closing his eyes. He just needed to take a couple breaths, steady his mind, get a grip on reality…
Inhale, exhale. Inhale, exhale. Inhale, exhale.
Despite his attempts to ground himself, his mind began to wander. He thought back to the show, looking into the crowd and seeing all the fans. He remembered seeing a girl flash her tits to them. It wasn't unusual, but he didn't know why he was thinking of it now.
Then he remembered sitting in the cab with Joey, their thighs bumping against each others'. The way Joey held his hair out of his face when Eric had leaned down to do a line… He felt like a teenager, the way it made his thighs twitch. He wanted to blame it on the coke.

At this, he glanced over his shoulder, not fully making eye contact with Eric.
Eric grinned, waving his arm faster, unable to hide his growing excitement at the prospect of seeing his old friend again. "Hey! Come over here, it's been so long, man-"
Joey spun around, facing him from a few feet back. "Yeah, meet and greet is after the show, kid. I'm signing stuff then," he stated, plainly, before turning on his heel to face the rest of his bandmates once again.
Eric's face twisted into a look of confusion and hurt, as his arm slowly lowered to his side. Did Joey...not recognize him?

Joey grumbled, snatching his shirt out of Wednesday’s hand. “I’m gonna kick your ass one of these days,” he told him, pulling the shirt over his head.
“What’s stopping you? Go ahead and try it.”
Joey laughed, assuming he was joking, and pushed his skirt down, leaving him in his shirt and boxers.
“I’m serious, try it,” he insisted, his eyes wide like it was some funny game.
“Like what, swing on you?” Joey asked incredulously, reaching for his jeans.
“Yeah, try it. I wanna see if you can.”
