First year: Dumbledore is missing. McGonagall is in charge of conducting the school while he is gone. She inadvertently accepts Tom Riddle as the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor and shortly after that the attacks against the muggle borns and half bloods begin. The students' heirs to the sacred twenty eight families are suspects, including the Black Twins, except that, one by one, the heirs start to disappear. Tom takes a special interest in one of his young students and the Marauders are formed, not only as a group of allies, but as an association to unravel the mystery about the monster roaming the school.
