Aziraphale and Crowley share 6000 years of clandestine friendship, slowly growing from that spark of interest and mutual goodwill to a deep, well-worn love celebrated over champagne after the Not-End of the World. They also share the Arrangement, which, according to the book, is really very simple and only deserves the capital letter because of its long standing.
This is not quite true. The concept and reality of the Arrangement may seem very simple, but once you start looking at it more closely, there are a lot of interesting conclusions to be drawn from it, about Heaven and Hell, the nature of blessings, temptations and miracles, about the nature of angels and demons, too.An essay about Crowley's and Aziraphale's Arrangement.
