Summary
When a popular nightclub burns down during the daytime, killing one of the owners, the cops are quick to point the finger at four employees who entered the club that day.
The case seems clear-cut. The fire was deliberately set, and the accused, dubbed the "Hannya Four" by the press, each have something to hide. In desperation they ask Phoenix Wright to represent them, but the case seems cursed from the very beginning.
As pressure mounts, Phoenix must contend with unreliable witnesses, corruption and deceit everywhere he turns. His clients' lives are on the line, not to mention his relationship with the prosecuting attorney…(AU, kind of? Think mid-2020s post-pandemic Japanifornia. Slightly older characters, different timeline, with many, ahem, liberties taken with the lore and legal system. Worry not, there's plenty of Wrightworth snark and shouting of 'objection!' for your enjoyment.)
