Former average-not-werewolf Luz, discovers that she is a small piece of a giant puzzle stretching between her home--The Human Realm, which she figured was the only "realm"--and the Demon Realm. It doesn't take long for things to go south after she starts to solve that puzzle.

"Burden of The Moon" takes place on a revamped Boiling Isles, where instead of the land being one deceased Titan, there are three of them (mostly) huddled together.

The timing of this series is different from the canon Owl House counterpart. The Demon Realm is less civilized and more of the structures are connected to surrounding nature. With the lack of covens and an "Emperor Belos," witches and demons are free to do whatever kind of wild magic they please, with the exception of Oracle magic.
