“Remember a couple of months ago, when you found me in the garden that morning and we watched the sunrise together?” Jin Ling says quietly, voice slightly nervous, though that takes Jiang Cheng a minute to realize through the pleasant haze in his mind. He makes a questioning hum, and Jin Ling speaks again after a short pause, “I wanted to kiss you, you know.”
Jiang Cheng’s whole body goes slightly tense, and the pleasant, drifting feeling feels more like a dragging current as he sits up a little straighter, fighting against it to be more alert, “What?” He must have misheard, or misunderstood, or-
“I wanted to kiss you,” His nephew says again, and there’s no mistaking it this time, “Right there in the garden, I wanted to crawl into your lap and kiss you and never leave. It-” He stumbles over his thoughts, or his words, voice shaking ever so slightly, but otherwise calm, even though he must feel how tense Jiang Cheng is with how much they’re touching right now, “It was the way you were looking at me, Jiujiu. It made me feel things, and I- I haven’t stopped feeling them.”
Jin Ling takes a chance and makes a move on Jiang Cheng.
