When the battles were won and the world returned to normal, it took some time to realise that, for the children who had put their lives on the line, there could be no going back.

Saving the day had consequences the heroes couldn't ignore. Some were obvious, some more subtle, and a few had the potential to change the world entirely. Always assuming they didn't end it first, of course.

Notes:

Digital Fallout began as a simple exploration of how the heck the various children were meant to go back to living normal lives after everything that had happened to them. A tendency with digimon is for each series to more or less gloss over what happened afterward, and I considered this prime fanfic material.

This being me, however, it all got a little out of hand - and now I have a large Scrivener file dedicated to DF stuff, with lots of notes and plans and scene sketches that stretch waaaay off into the distance. What started as a series of post-canon codas has become a rather excessive and convoluted story which (so far) in my notes ties together Seasons 1-4 and, with any luck, Tri as well. I say "so far", because honestly, I feel this probably isn't the end.

All the while I've got Hope's Fire and Trinacriform to complete, this is more of a side-project, but I really am looking forward to the point at which I can give it the centre stage.
