“Pigeon, what are you doing?” Touya asks, trying to level his voice to a nonchalant drawl, instead of the oncoming irritation that slowly builds deep, deep at the back of his throat.
Keigo turns around, eyes wide and wings ruffled, their blankets and pillows clutched firmly in his arms, their bed a mess. He looks from the pillows to Touya to their bed and all the way back again.
“Uh, I am building,” he eventually supplies, his manicured claws scratching at his cheek in thought.
“Building what?”
“Just… building,” he admits, with a dopey, crooked smile. Suspicion slowly bubbles up in Touya’s chest.
or; Keigo is getting ready for something, Touya just can't figure out what for.

“What crawled up your ass and died, huh?” Natsuo drawls, a grin spreading over his face.
Touya doesn’t even get to reply before a feral bird grabs Natsuo’s hair and pulls his head back so he can stare right into his soul. Pupils blown out and a snarl ready at the back of his throat.
“Apologize.”
Natsuo’s eyes grow wide before he nods to his best attempt and mutters an apology. Their mother’s loud sip brings them back from the incident.
“Ah Touya, you haven’t even told me yet. As your mother, I suspected, but now I am sure.”

His alpha is pointing at different body pillows, apparently to support his back and stomach. Not that he needs it anyway with Keigo’s excessive nest building recently.
“We don’t need that,” he states, arms crossed over his chest and not even gracing the pillows with his gaze.
“But your back will hurt.”
“From what? I am not even showing yet,” Touya retorts with a scoff.
He knows he’s being mean, and maybe, yes, maybe even a little bit moody. But damn it. It was his body that was changing, and he wasn’t ready to accept that yet, his mate's constant worry was slowly getting to him.
“But you will,” Keigo tries to reason, wiggling the pillow in his hands to emphasize the softness.
or; Touya is happy to have this with Keigo, he really is, but damn it, why does his body have to change that much.

“Mhm, someone had fun with the– is that spinach?” Keigo asks, eyes jumping from Touya’s shirt to their baby. His mouth is smeared with the same green substance, though he seems oddly happy about it if Touya were to judge based on his son’s happy, cheerful laughter.
“This? No, that’s baby puke,” Touya points to one green spot on his shirt and then points to another. “This though? That’s either mashed broccoli or something else entirely.”
Keigo shudders at the realization at first, but then leans closer, nuzzles his cheek against Touya’s neck, and kneads a little bit firmer to make up for half the day he missed with his family.
or; Touya really, really just wants Kazumi to eat.
