Summary
"Where is your brother?"
Illario tried not to flinch. He had never seen his grandmother like this before—her face deeply lined, her eyes wide and frantic. The grip she had on his arm hurt, her fingers trembling even beneath her gloves. She was shaking all over, yet unlike Illario, she did not cry. There was only pure, undiluted horror in her gaze.Series

Summary
Sienna felt his blood rush everywhere at once. His partner was dressed in stunning lingerie, and he took in the sight from head to toe. Illario’s hair was loose, half his face hidden behind a thick black crow mask. Feathers adorned his shoulders, held in place by a harness that crossed over his chest and wrapped around his waist in an “X,” the straps dipping to his hips to secure a thin black fabric that barely covered anything at all. Ribbons decorated his long legs, only adding to the breathtaking view. His lips were painted a deep cherry red, standing out exquisitely.

Summary
Sienna was nervous. If he had hated working with the Shadow Dragons in Minrathous whenever it involved being near the wealthy without slitting their throats, now he had an even worse task—meeting with Treviso’s elite to hire an assassin to kill gods. The thought alone made him pale with embarrassment, sweat gathering beneath the multiple layers of his clothing.

Summary
He heard the soft rustle of grass beneath Illario’s steps until the man stood beside him.
"I’m sorry," Illario murmured.
Sienna swallowed back a sob.
"I don’t want your fucking apologies!" he barked, lifting his head suddenly, arm raised. He was ready to strike him—anything to make Illario leave, to make him go away, to tear these stupid, unbearable feelings from his chest.Series
