When Harry first arrives at Hogwarts from the Dursleys’, it feels like paradise. Like a walled garden kept safe and secret from the rest of the world, with as much food as he wants and warm, comfortable beds and green as far as they eye can see outside his window. The people here even remind him a little of animals, the way the students move from place to place like a school of fish or a flock of birds.
He’s sorted into Ravenclaw, the House of Knowledge. Which fits him perfectly because wants to spend all seven years reading every book in the library, there’s just so much to learn.
In which Harry is Eve, Quirrellmort is somehow both Adam and the Serpent, and the author is sleep deprived.

A long, lean arm and hand extended through the opening, pianist’s fingers tapping on the car’s sleek dark-green, almost black exterior; it was shortly followed by a strong shoulder and a face with equally sharp lines at the jaw, nose and cheekbones.
”Get into the car, Harry,” the man at the wheel said. His voice was a low rumble that matched that of his luxury Aston Martin, belied by a mostly playful tone.

Summary
By the time Tom managed to get to his feet and rush over to the window, Potter and his cargo were both well through it (revealing the back of a pair of well-toned calves and a surprisingly pert ass in the process). Tom stuck his upper body through and prepared to vault over the sill himself, expecting a fire escape of some sort, only to pull back just in time when he realized that it opened on nothing but a sheer brick wall.
...And Potter was descending it like he was at a bloody climbing gym, nimble fingers gripping the cracks in the mortar assuredly, not even looking down. No, rather, he was glaring defiantly back upward, straight into Tom’s stunned face.
Or: Tom Riddle, professional process server extraordinaire, struggles mightily to corner his latest assignment. Harry Potter, semi-professional escape artist, refuses to be taken alive.

“YOU KILLED MY PARENTS—YOU KILLED SIRIUS! SO MANY INNOCENT PEOPLE! I WILL NEVER, EVER, LOVE YOU OR FORGIVE YOU, NEVER! GO AWAY!!!”
Well. This was certainly progress, even if it came delivered with more than a little hyperbole and a complete absence of tact. He finally had real information, something concrete he could work with. Here, for the first time, was an inkling of exactly what it was that had hardened Harry’s heart, what Tom would need to fix if he was to eventually carve out a little space all his own within those bloody, beating red chambers.
Lucius and Severus had been strongly hinting lately that he should take up a hobby; and since his top choice of renovating the gardens together with Harry was still a no-go for now, a little bit of experimental magic would have to suffice.
OR: Even after signing the peace treaty and entering into sacred matrimony with his new Horcrux husband, Tom is frustrated and sad over Harry’s refusal to give their relationship a chance. So he decides to do something about it, in a way that only an ex-Dark Lord turned Minister for Magic could find reasonable.
