They say he's a wild beast, who'll take you on with his fists as readily as with his Pokémon. They say he's... dressing up as a maid and running errands for a rich socialite? How did that happen?

Pokémon Legends ZA prologue fic exploring how Lebanne and Jacinthe's dynamic came to be—lots of flirting and mutual pining, but the entire fic is pre-relationship. Kind of forcefem, but Lebanne is pretty clearly an egg from the beginning, Jacinthe just realized Lebanne was a woman and started treating her as such before Lebanne did lol. Relatively low-angst despite the last couple tags, all of which refer to off-screen or background events. Kind of a more wholesome take on the whole dynamic (and also shameless Jacinthe/SBC propaganda/apologia).

When I started writing Food Chain, I didn't know about PlayRoughShipping Week 2026, but ended up seeing adverts for it on tumblr and decided I wanted to participate at least a little! I've mentioned a lot of my ZA headcanons in comment replies on Food Chain already, and I've even mentioned wanting to maybe write one-shots set during or after the game and DLC, so I decided to accelerate those plans. This short one-shot explores some of those headcanons a little—hope y'all enjoy!
