.“Rui-yah, Rui, wake up,” she says. Rui groans when she feels a hand on her shoulder, shaking her. “You have to see this, Rui.”
Wumuti’s tone isn’t exactly calm, but she isn’t yelling either. She sounds almost excited, but Rui is still half-asleep and can’t quite make out her tone.
“What… what is it?” they murmur, their eyes still closed.
Nothing could have prepared them for what Wumuti is about to tell them.
