Summary
Egeire Mahariel grew up in the shadow of his father and of his father's first child, and was briefly found in that darkness by a man who would have seen him torn down to be built back up into a weapon. Even after the death of his cruel mentor, Egeire struggles with his self-worth and the scars left on his self-image. Denoreth Surana loves him more than words could ever fully describe, and in turn hates Egeire's mentor more than a single death could ever put to rest. Zevran Arainai is really totally asleep, or at least, would rather like to be.
The early mornings are a good time for soft cuddling and sleepy kisses before the day breaks; they're also, as it turns out, a good time for little heart-to-hearts.
