Behind her, a tap on her shoulder caught her attention. Clarke turned, ready to yell at whatever invasive, goody-two-shoes freshman was about to reprimand her for yelling and making a scene past quiet hours, but the blood drained from her face as she met the eyes of a campus policewoman.

Standing in front of the mirror, Clarke shook her head. She couldn't believe she was about to do this.
She rubbed the thin lace between her fingers, letting it fall over her small baby bump, either side of the babydoll framing her stomach. She supposed she didn’t look bad--it was a cute babydoll, lacy and black. It suited her well, standing out against her pale skin and framing her curves.
She figured it was now or never, really.
