Summary
Marinette and Adrien have been best friends since they were kids. Near the end of their college years, the long awaited inter-dimensional travel program has been revealed, and is accepting applications for the team of specialized super heroes that would be tasked with traveling dimensions in order to solve the problems that lay beyond the multiverse. Marinette convinces Adrien to try out, both shockingly getting accepted. They would be the holders of two of the ten magical technology pieces created by specialist Wang Fu that would be used to aid them in their missions called the Miraculous. Marinette and Adrien get to meet the colorful cast of characters they'll be traveling with for the forseeable future. It will definitely be an exciting journey filled with friends, foes, and everything in-between.

Summary
Marinette Dupain-Cheng always liked New Year's. Particularly, she liked the premise of New Year's, the promise of a clean slate, and another reason for her to shower her numerous friends with gifts. That was, before the Ladybug mantle and all the consequences that came with shouldering it that is. Now Marinette doesn't know what to feel about the whole affair. Slowly but surely the heroine finds herself dejected, empty and most of all alone, during New Year's save for those small moments which blare her cold heart to life, but even then they are short and easy to miss in the sea of anguish she seems to be struggling not to drown in. With all the burdens of heroism and responsibilities that even her civilian life bestow upon her, Marinette even finds it difficult to enjoy the little things in life.
That is, until she doesn't.
In other words, the classic 5 + 1 fanfic which humbly features the 5 times Marinette Dupain-Cheng spent her New Year's alone and the 1 time she didn't.
