What had happened to Luis?

Summary
Buck was known for rambling, he always had something to say. He couldn’t physically stop his mouth from running. And yet, every time he was near Tommy. He wanted to say something. Three little words, three little syllables. And yet, they always kept lodged inside of his throat.
Luckily for him, his close ones are there for him to open his eyes and to lay an ear.

Summary
Buck quickly turned, stopping dead in his tracks as he watched a man pull a shirt over his head. He was covering up the abs that Buck was intimately familiar with, the dark hair he’d pulled, the stubble that had grazed his skin, and eyes that had stared into his soul for one disastrously amazing night.
Eddie fucking Diaz was in his firehouse locker room.
The one where Buck and Eddie first meet at a cowboy bar on Buck's trip from Peru to California.

Summary
Soulmates can feel each other's pain, they get physical marks of each other's injuries. Every bruise, scratch, and broken bone gets plastered in bright red against your soulmate's skin.
Eddie knew his soulmate was somewhere out there, constantly hurt. He'd had red marks all over his body for as long as he could remember. He hadn't meant to get tied up with Shannon, hadn't meant for her to start leaving her own marks on him, but it happened before he could stop it.
His soulmate saw his hickey and raised him scratches, so he hit back with a bite mark.
---
Buck hadn't meant to start this bad habit, but when he saw that his soulmate had no intentions of waiting for him, he snapped. Sleeping with some random girl so she would leave physical evidence on his body wasn't his original plan.
But when his soulmate let someone bite them, he was done. He'd lost every round of his life, his parents, his sister, but he wasn't losing this game. If his soulmate wanted to play, he'd win. He'd prove he didn't need them. With every mark someone else left on him, he was winning.
At least that was what he kept telling himself.

Summary
Buck doesn’t know how to grieve Bobby Nash—or what to do with Bobby’s final words telling him the family would need him. He’s unraveling, and pretending he’s fine is only making it worse.
Eddie, on the other hand, only knows how to speak through anger. His hurt comes out sideways, sharp and unkind, and he hates that Buck’s the one who takes the brunt of it.
They both say things they don’t mean. And they want to make it right. But maybe right means more than what they were expecting.
After that argument in Don't Drink the Water.

Summary
Buck is confused by his co-workers declaring he’s in love with Eddie. It’s absurd, they’re best friends and Eddie already has a boyfriend.

Or Buck eventually figures out his feelings.

Summary
The room is quiet.
Too quiet.
It’s the first thing Buck registers.
Not the pale California sunlight slicing through the blinds, thin, sharp like a paper cut across his vision, not the subtle ache in his spine from the way he twisted in his sleep. Not even the tick of the clock on the wall. No. It’s the quiet that punches through first. Like a WWE punch. Hard and heavy.
It’s not peace. Not calm.
It’s absence. Full-blown absence.
Or,
It's muscle memory. Wake up, message Bobby, go about his day. Except.. Today, he forgot he wouldn't get a response back from Bobby. Never would he gets a response from Bobby again.

Summary
“We should talk” Buck said sitting at the kitchen table his coffee in his hands. They had gotten up and made breakfast, just like the times Buck spent the night on the couch.
“Yeah” Eddie leaned back on the countertop.
“We were drunk, and it was stupid, plus you are straight” Buck said.
“I don’t think I’m straight” Eddie laughed.
“I mean” Buck took a sip in his coffee “it doesn’t have to mean anything”
“Right” Eddie’s heart sunk but he nodded “And you just got dump”
“So you agree” Buck smiled “This doesn’t have to ruin our friendship or change anything.”
“Yeah of course, dude” Eddie buried his feelings, something that he was good at “Nothing has to change"
orBuck and Eddie sleep together the night Buck got dumped, but decided they should stay friends. But when Eddie decided to move to texas to be closer to his son, they are force to face their feelings

Summary
Buck is bad at feelings, as always. Old habits rear their heads, and everyone does the best they can, but helping someone who doesn’t think he deserves it is always tricky. Still, it works out in the end.
Or:
“It’s been a few months since Bobby died. Buck would say he’s adjusted plenty in that time.
Get used to Hen being their Captain and calling her “Cap” no matter how much weight the nickname holds now? Check.
Go to his grave every week on his days off to bring new flowers and keep Bobby updated on what’s going on at the station and in everyone’s lives? Check.
Tell everyone in his family that he loves them every time they part ways so he’ll never have to repeat the guilt of not saying it back to Bobby the last time they talked? Check.”Or:
Buck ignores an important phone call, spends time in El Paso, gets into a car crash, starts healing, and has a different part of his family come back to him.

Prompt Fill: 9-1-1 Bingo: Round Four - Moonlit Walk
Eddie wakes up from nightmares every single day after moving home from El Paso. He's also been dodging Buck's phone calls and text messages.
Or Eddie's time in El Paso dealing with his unsupportive parents triggered his PTSD.
----
Eddie Diaz does not panic.
Or that's the lie he's been telling himself and everyone who will listen for as long as he can remember. It was second nature to save face, the lie poised on the tip of his tongue from a lifetime of hiding and burying himself deep down, out of sight, out of mind. It took Eddie a long time to break those chains, to escape from El Paso and all its expectations—to escape the pressure his parents constantly impressed upon him.
Eddie had to teach himself how to cut and run when necessary; that's how he'd ended up in LA after all—but that also meant he needed to be strong and unbreakable too—just the way his parents taught him to growing up.

Summary
“Evan.” Eddie whispers, willing Buck to look up at him.
He does, eyes sad and distant as they make contact with Eddie’s.
“You will feel okay one day, and you will regret this.” Eddie says, as calmly as possible. “And at that point, there might not be a way back”

Summary
He was convinced to stay. Seriously, he was. But he decided to leave the day after his life crumbled. Again. But this time he stood up for himself, because is he going to stand there and get yelled at for having emotions again? Hell no! He wasn't going to stand there and be shunned (again) for being a human and having emotions, for actually allowing himself to crack open and release a small amount of his emotions like he's allowed to.

Summary
“They’re gonna need you kid,” played on repeat in his mind. The 118, his found family, were going to need him. Eddie was going to need him. He had to pull it together, he can’t let his passion and emotion ruin that. So Buck put on the bravest face he possibly could.
“Buck.” That was all Eddie was able to say before Buck completely lost it. Eddie was pulling him into a giant hug before Buck even realized what was happening.
“Hey, hey, I got you, I’m here.” Eddie cooed into Buck’s ear, while holding him tighter, rubbing circles on his back. Buck had his face smushed into the crook of his neck, his tears staining the blue hoodie had on.

Summary
Buck sits at the far end of the table in the 118 firehouse, the flickering overhead lights almost mocking the silence in the room. His fingers tap lightly against the table, a nervous rhythm he can’t stop, the sound of it strangely loud in the otherwise quiet space.
It’s just another day, another shift, but everything feels different now. The hum of the coffee machine and the soft murmur of conversations in the kitchen area are the only sounds filling the space. Buck glances over at Hen, Chimney, and Bobby, who are talking quietly amongst themselves. They don’t look his way. They don’t acknowledge his presence.
