    They haven’t even been deployed for a month when they get new orders, new regulations, and suddenly the chain of command gets turned on its head.

    It wasn’t supposed to work like that. The Jedi were supposed to be the ones doing the planning and the leading, but after the first few battles it became very obvious that none of them knew what they were doing. Half the Senate panicked and wanted to start negotiations with the Separatists. The other half did not, and somehow that led to both sides deciding that the lesser evil was declaring the clones were actually pretty competent at the thing they’ve literally been made for.

    Cody probably got lucky with his Jedi; it doesn’t complain or try to outmaneuver him and it’s actually quite helpful. If it was a brother he’d be fond of it.

    Or,

    The clones were (wrongly) taught that the Jedi are immortal eldritch beings devoid of personhood, the Jedi are enslaved by the Republic within a few weeks of the war starting, and nobody knows how to ask the right questions until it's almost too late.

    Cody's inability to interact with people without making spreadsheets to analyze their behavior saves the galaxy.

      So what we’ve learned here, in one of the BEST clone wars fics I’ve ever read, is that
      A) you should never ever rely on generative AI summaries about an entire group of people, lest you accidentally dehumanize them
      B) gender is a construct and denoted entirely by hair color (obviously, except for the cases where that’s an outlier but shhh)
      C) Clones’ first language is Binary which means calling your vod a little bitch is a snap series whistles and beeps

      And so much more!!! I fucking LOVE this fic oh my god

The Ruusan Reformation disbanded all Je'daii military forces, bringing them under the purview of the Republic, and tasking them with the large job of Galactic Peacekeeping.

    According to the history annals of the Je'daii Order, the Sith won the civil war. The Ruusan Reformation is just one of many ways they have of keeping those who subscribe to the Jedi way of things unable to restart the war. The others are... less pleasant.

    Of course, that just means that the Jedi are even more determined to break free. They've had 1,000 years to come up with a plan. They're ready to break their chains.

    It was the shift of armour, the clang of Beskar against Beskar, snapped Ben out of his quiet reflection and mourning.

    Ben opened his eyes and looked over his shoulder. Behind him were three Mando’s approaching him from all sides and cornering him. Turning to face those approaching him, Ben tilted his head.

    “Tion’cuy?”

    “Naasade.” Ben replied as he jumped back onto the railing, spread his arms and let himself fall back.

Shocked as the Clone War ends and the horrors grow, Cody proposes an alliance between the newly created Mandalorian Empire led by Jango Fett and Satine and the newly freed Vode Army for sanctuary and the means to rescue the Jedi.
    But the key to saving the Jedi will require past enemies and long-seed resentments to be pushed aside on all sides as the Darkness of the Sith rises and time runs out to save the Jedi. Sometimes, to get the best ending, you have to steal it.
