Nakahara Chuuya has always been yearning for freedom.
His ex-partner, Osamu Dazai, had fled the Port Mafia on wings of freedom, tainted by sorrow, flying out of its darkest pits by the enlightening words of his dead mentor upto the abode of heaven, the ADA, a place where Chuuya could never quite reach, no matter how high he flew, even if he could manipulate gravity itself.
Freedom was something he could never achieve, a salvation far out of reach, for an inhumane experiment like him, bound by the chains of gravity itself, confined to the Port Mafia—his house, his lodgings, his captor—
So, when he is sent by his boss to investigate on an Ability outside of Japan, he obliges, like the dog he is, constricted by gravity to the ground, though he was the user, always the urge to fly, to be free of gravity itself—
He departs to the place of the distrubances and encounters a new world, and stumbles upon a City of Freedom, where a bard with unsettling aqua green eyes— the breeze which brings storm or seeds, stories or destruction— offers him what his heart yearned for— Freedom.

"While none of us can talk about what they've done, Celestia isn't as… holy as you guys make it seem," Venti explained before looking at the Tsaritsa, "Though, I'm confused why you still need me. I thought you already got what you needed? That's why I let Signora take my gnosis."
"Unfortunately, that was only part of my scheme. I would explain the rest, but you understand how risky doing so would be. Therefore, I wished to gather all the Archons together to discuss it."
"So, you want me to join your revolution?"
After witnessing the tyranny of the Heavenly Principles, the Tsaritsa plans to overthrow Celestia and bring a new order to Teyvat. She unites her fellow Archons, including a very reluctant Venti. Little did he know by joining their revolution, he would unwittingly set in motion an ancient plot that he is at the center of.
Note: I've planned this fic based on the information as of Version 3.4.

The Anemo Archon makes a deal and ‘Venti’ the bard is born.
It’s just too bad that ‘Venti’ is too much of a chaotic troll (and secret gaming nerd) that he decides to throw the plot out the window like the chaotic gremlin he is. Modern Venti is not a reader insert, or an Original Character. If you played through Venti's Archon Quest Part One, then guessing 'Modern Venti's" identity should be easy.
World-building, politics, and a more critical look at the Fatui, as well as several other people.
(In the words of my sister, "Why is the drunkard the only sane one? Everyone else has more issues than a subscription." )
This fanfiction uses the manga as canon and takes place pre-Traveler. Hints/Spoilers up to 4.2.

Bennett barely registered as he was thrown to the ground, a blade dangerously close to his chest.
"Who... are... you?" the stranger asked slowly, dangerously.

The blade pressed harder.
And damn, that snapped Bennett out of his thoughts.

Liyue and Mondstadt are at war.
Xiao, despite his young age, has risen through the military ranks in Liyue, becoming high general and the king's right hand man. Now, he commands the Liyuen army.
However, one slip up soon led to his capture and imprisonment. Following was constant torture to get him to spill information, which Xiao would never yield to.
That is, until a certain someone comes along and flips the whole meaning of torture around.
The infamous "General Barbatos" is not exactly what Xiao expects him to be.

Summary
Growing up in Mondstadt with her brother, Lumine had always heard about the tale of how the Anemo God, Barbatos, fought to secure their freedom from being taken by a powerful witch. And though he won the battle, the witch had the last laugh as a curse was placed upon him causing him to fall into a deep slumber. He would remain in that state until he was awoken by a kiss from a maiden blessed by a star's light.
Though the story itself felt a bit ludicrous to her, Lumine did feel there was a grain of truth to it, as according to those same stories, the same day he closed his eyes five centuries ago also began a series of trials that caused many to fear would bring an end to the land he protected.
And to top it all off, Lumine has been having strange dreams as of late that consists of a strange green-garbed bard who bares a startling resemblance to the God of Freedom that is so revered.

Summary
Venti, recently awoken from a five-hundred-year nap, has a lot of things to deal with. He needs to catch up on modern technology, figure out what happened to the Tsaritsa, meet the new superheroes in town, re-endear himself to Dvalin, avoid the Sustainer's increasing attempts to track him down and make him do paperwork, the list goes on.
But he can safely say that he wasn't expecting for "help Zhongli out with dating his new supervillain boyfriend" to be on that list.
...and Venti is pretty sure that Zhongli has a type, which is "hot supervillains trying to destroy Liyue who can transform". Hopefully, this relationship doesn't end up going as badly as the last one.
Well, at least all of Zhongli’s formerly dead exes are onboard with Venti’s plan.
(Or: an affectionate parody of Genshin Impact if they were all superheroes, vaguely inspired by the common tropes of superhero fiction and fics alike, including but not limited to a space superhero base, the propensity of superheroes to have ill-fated, tragic romance, handwaved death mechanics, and depressing backstories wherein numerous family members die.)
