Summary
Rocky and Grace are back aboard the Hail Mary for the first-ever mission in the Star Angel Program launched by the Eridians to help save nearby star systems that are likley to support other intelligent life.
All is going well until their new-and-improved astral sensing technology picks up a strange radio signal from a nearby moon.
OR
The moon itself was fairly large, clearly the largest in Epsilon Eridani b’s orbit, and the magnetosphere of the gas giant could potentially stabilize a body of water like that to some extent, but there would have to be an immense atmospheric pressure on the moon for an ocean, because that’s what it was, to exist.
Once in stable orbit, Grace was able to see the ocean itself through the hull cameras of the Hail Mary.
“That’s very strange," He remarked.
“Not very. Look at mountain ridges. Moon mountains release gas. Enough atmospheric pressure for ocean,” countered Rocky.
“It’s not that,” began Grace, “It’s red.”

Simon just kept trying to breathe, his chest heaving up and down. His bleeding arm, still clenched and curled into himself, stung against sweat.
The blood on the ground divided the space between them, one hesitant and one wholly unwilling to cross it. Dr. Grace just kept looking at Simon with those wide, blue eyes.
“Hey…seriously, what is your name?”

When Ryland Grace decided to become a scientist, he never would have guessed that he would end up here: making first contact with a man who came out of a wormhole near the alien planet he now called home. Life sure was funny.
Please note that I have included the Project Hail Mary book in the fandom tags, because I will mention information that is only available in the book. You should read the book, if you haven't already.
I haven't watched Iron Lung yet (currently waiting for the Youtube release), so I cannot actually do detailed writing for Simon yet. Please bear with me, y'all. I swear this won't be complete shit.
