After being dead for thousands of years, the taste of modern human food is a total surprise to Sukuna. The King of Curses soon becomes addicted, and decides to use Itadori to sate his enormous appetites.
When Itadori dies, Sukuna offers him a deal: he may come back, but only if Sukuna gets to eat to his heart's content.
As Itadori eats (and eats), Fushiguro begins to take notice. Both he and Itadori may just end up enjoying this new vow more than either of them ever expected.

Shane's gained weight after retirement. He likes it.
At the pressure of Ilya’s hand, Shane dutifully steps, albeit a touch unsteady, over the threshold and proceeds to undo his belt when the front door closes behind him, fumbling for the buckle with clumsy hands. When it’s undone, Shane breathes in deeper—though still rather shallow—than he has since starting on his dessert. Ilya laughs heartily and gives Shane’s stomach a few pats.
“Ate too much,” he says, “didn’t you?”
“You shouldn’t have—” Shane begins, right before he’s interrupted by a hiccup. “Shouldn’t have let me eat half of your portion.”
“But you wanted it so badly,” Ilya teases. “You looked like you would have divorced me if I did not give you my pasta. And my bread. And my ice cream…”
