Genuinely the single best fic I've read in this fandom.... I don't enjoy seeing rocky being babied like that is a grown ass man (?) !!! I never even realized pervert rocky was an option oh my god your brain is beautiful.
Also closer to the end //the part about sub-vocalizations at a frequency humans can't hear is so funny to me like this mf has just been saying freak shit in the background like an actual running monologue I cannot imagine him going back to Eric and having to give that up The part where rocky chooses to go w the he/him pronouns is also so ughhhhhh yeassss.... Like there are actual layers to this bc of Rockys ulterior motives, whereas I think grace sees is as a kind of transness in itself and feels understood/accepted?? Idk,, I love the way you write rocky like this is changing my brain chemistry T_T Also starting with that harrowing account of isolation really sets a good time for his 'spiral' ... Like yeah being isolated in space with a hyper fixation on courting a dude would give anyone. A freakishly awful porn addiction lol. -

Grace has been on Erid for about six months. Things have quieted down. Grace isn’t as sick anymore. He’s eating normally, mostly healed, and not actively dying. Rocky doesn’t need to spend every waking moment with him. Rocky can actually resume living a normal life. Grace doesn’t need Rocky, anymore.
Grace has severely underestimated how much he needs Rocky.
Or: What happens when a very codependent Grace tries to separate himself from his best friend, Rocky? Who, by chance, also happens to be very codependent?
