Summary
After Vecna ambushes a rescue mission, Will Byers unlocks psychic powers to save Mike’s life… and then immediately collapses.
While Will’s body lies unconscious in Hawkins, his mind is trapped inside the strange, too-perfect mindscape of Henry Creel himself. As Will, Max, and Holly discover the truth and history behind Vecna, Mike refuses to leave Will’s side in the real world, where his steadily collapsing emotional repression is becoming increasingly obvious to everyone around him.
Love, it turns out, might be the only thing stronger than the hivemind.
OR: Will Byers passes out after Sorcerer, Vecna traps him in Camazotz, and he is left with Max and Holly, who look through Vecna's memories together to figure out how to defeat him. Meanwhile, Mike is an emotional wreck in the real world because he accepted he's in love with Will. A jealous, protective, emotional wreck.

“So,” Will prompts, when Mike still doesn’t offer up any information on the mysterious stack of papers tucked under his arm. “Are you having a party?”
“Oh, no,” Mike says, sounding like it might be the first time ever in his life that he is genuinely disappointed about this fact. He shifts and grabs the stack of flyers, sort of waving them through the air. “These are just for this game I play?” The inflection on the end of what should be a statement makes it sound more like a hesitant question.
“And in this one, you act like you’re… vampires?”
Or: To get out of the sexual rut he’s stuck in, Popular!Will gets dared to ask out Nerd!Mike and ends up attending a Vampire the Masquerade LARP where they proceed to put the ‘role-play’ into ‘live action role-play.’

“Sure about what, Will?” Mike snapped.
“That she’s your soulmate? Because if you’re not 100% sure, you aren’t just killing her, you’re killing yourself, Mike!” Will shouted back, wiping a stray tear before it could fall.
Mike finally turned to look at him, “I know who my soulmate is, Will”.
Will looked up at him, “So do I, Mike, and it’s not Jane”
OR
Will travels to Maine to join his friends and family for Mike & Jane’s wedding.
But, when Mike finds out he has to marry his soulmate by nightfall on the day of his wedding, or die, Will can’t stand by and watch the two most important people in his life be taken from him.
