Summary
Todoroki’s shoulders tense and then relax, tendons sharpening in the dim moonlight filtering in from overhead. The facade isn’t really working. He’s not as tired as he’s trying to project. “Look, I didn’t come here to make enemies.”
Katsuki sizes up his opponent, circling him like a shark in black waters. He can hear the quiet rasp of Todoroki’s slow, deliberate, jaw-clenched breath; smells the scent of a caged animal under duress.
“I did.”
It all starts with a fight. Someone trying to do good things in the worst possible way. But when things end badly, Todoroki disappears into the night, leaving his friends and family to hunt him down with few clues to follow.
