Haru blinks a couple times, head tilting. “What do you mean by unbalanced?”
“That people still usually only call you one thing when you also want the others,” Wumuti clarifies. “Maybe you don't see people calling you ‘she’ or ‘they’ as much as you want.”

At first, Haru doesn't know what it is about the 'any pronouns' thing that feels off. Wumuti helps.

He just wanted a mocha with too much sugar. Instead, he found a dark bookstore run by a man who doesn't know how light switches work and a dog that looks like it eats intruders for breakfast.
Neil is a walking disaster who doesn't realize he’s being watched. Andrew is a man who watches everything and feels nothing—until now. The Foxes are still broken, the "reunions" are still a nightmare, and Andrew is pretty sure the book he just bought is poorly edited.
But he’s going back tomorrow. Not for the book. For the "bat."

All colour appears to have left his face. Rui, sensing that his friend needs encouragement, teases him:

They both then proceed to sing and dance 1&Only’s “gimme energy, energy”, laughing and twerking on the bungee tower.

"Felix, do you have glitter on your face?" Chan walked toward him and swiped his finger over Felix's face and pulled it back to examine it, "It is glitter."
"Uhmm." Felix couldn't think of a suitable response to this, what was he supposed to say, 'Oh you know the group that we did a dance challenge with yesterday, apparently they awakened something in me, so I decided I needed glitter on my face and a skirt on my waist'. Whilst Felix fumbled for an answer, Chan decided it was now time to look around Felix's room. This would mean he'd probably spot the skirt he's discarded in the corner behind the door, in hopes that they wouldn't be spending much time in his room.
Or Felix does a dance challenge with XLOV, which brings up new gender based feelings.

“Neil knows what I want,” Andrew snaps. This is not Andrew’s fault.
“How do you know?”
Because Neil always knows. He is as fluent in Andrew’s micro-expressions as he is in German and French. He knows which head tilts mean “go on” and which ones mean “shut up.” Without ever asking, he learned what it meant to see Andrew wearing double layers of long sleeves, or taking multiple showers in a day, and learned to hand Andrew the car keys.
That has always been the most terrifying thing about Neil — his patience to wait, watch, listen, learn. The prospect that if Neil were given enough time, there would be no part of Andrew that was just Andrew’s anymore.
“He has to know,” Andrew says.
“Does he?” Renee says. “Have you ever known Neil to assume that he is wanted?”
Five times Neil tells someone that he and Andrew aren’t dating, and one time Andrew uses his words to set the record straight.
