Summary
After the encounter with dracula in the after story of book two of "The Glass Scientists" Lanyon is left turned into a vampire without anyone in his life knowing. Not even Everly. After a nauseating stay in his cooped up room he goes to get some "fresh" air in the London smog, encountering a bleeding scrawny blonde man that doesn't do any good with Lanyon trying to fight off the urge to feed.

It was a simple plan: Lanyon was going to collect a bouquet of flowers for Jekyll, never confess it was from him, and then everyone can get on with their lives. Nobody would be any the wiser and Lanyon wouldn't have to deal with explaining himself.
However, things go somewhat awry when the flowers Lanyon collected turn out to have some rather unfortunate effects on anyone who touches them.Those effects involve making a person far more cuddly than they would usually be.
