Summary
Fitz can’t bear to live in a world without Jemma Simmons in it. After the devastating loss of his best friend, the only thing to do is to leave the world. He thinks time and distance might have healed his wounds until an unexpected visitor asks for permission to board his space station.
Tangential sequel to "Thwarted by an Align Star" but can be (or should be?) read alone.
“I proposed,” she corrected him with that know-it-all shrug that used to drive him mad in their academy days. This was her life, her story, and there was no reason to discredit anything she said. Her Fitz, while sharing twenty-six years of similarities with him, was still different, he had to remember. He had no grounds to assume that version would have done everything exactly the same way he would have.
Nevertheless, some instinctive heat surged up in him, forcing him to react wildly. Fitz turned with one hand on his hip and the other wagging a finger at her.
“The hell you did, Jemma Simmons!”

Summary
Leopold manages to trap Jemma in the Framework. He doesn’t know if he can stand any more victories.
At her core, she was still Jemma Simmons, who did not tolerate arseholes. And he was still Leopold Fitz.
An arsehole.

Summary
On his first solo mission after the Framework, Fitz illustrates that he is still the exemplary hero Jemma knows and loves. He just also happens to have a few unexemplary tricks up his tailored sleeve.
“Absolutely not,” Jemma declared. “What kind of person would I be if I had my wicked way with you now?”As she kneaded his knots through his shirt, Jemma quietly watched his drowsy profile on the pillow. Just as she thought he would drift off, Fitz answered her rhetorical question in a sweet, barely audible voice.
“My kind of person.”

Summary
After Madame Hydra and Alistair Fitz inadvertently bring about their own ends, Jemma strives to remain optimistic as the team is forced to continue their virtual lives. Even if her best mate is reckless enough to get entangled with the faux Grant Ward, Simmons refuses to be distracted from their mission by the increasingly interested Leopold Fitz. It shouldn’t be hard to resist him. After all, Jemma Simmons is still a rational top scientist, and the Doctor is just the Absolute Worst™ in a three piece suit.
“Because we do fit together, we are unique puzzle pieces. It's the truth, the truest certainty in the universe,” Fitz concluded with a beautiful yearning in his eyes. “Even after everything that happened in that reality, I chose you. I’ll choose you every time.”Series

Summary
Just as the Doctor manages to win Jemma Simmons’ heart despite the intermittent turbulence between them, flashbacks enlighten him about their true lives outside the Framework. Leopold wonders if Fitz’s affection will be enough to save her from the punishment that Hydra usually doles out to traitors.
No, there was no love triangle here. There was only the grand saga of Simmons and Fitz. If Jemma had her way, the Doctor would be reduced to a tiny footnote in their dramatic history. As it became clearer and clearer that he was freed from the romantic shambles Jemma wove for them, Leo felt something akin to relief stealing over him. This inward hollowness was cold, quiet. Even if it wasn’t exactly what he’d call peace of mind, he could work with it.

Summary
For the third night in a row, Jemma noticed how stiffly Fitz lay beside her, as though he were trying not to move. It had occurred to her on the first night in this dingy motel that this was the first time that she had ever slept in a bed with Fitz. Certainly, they had fallen asleep near one another on various surfaces over the years: on couches after marathon Doctor Who sessions, on the piles of clothes on the floor of his dorm room at the Academy after a celebratory round of drinks turned into many, many rounds, and once, after a particularly cruel all-nighter cramming for a final, on their lab bench side by side each with a chin resting in their hands.
Never, Jemma had realized, had they intentionally climbed into a bed and lain side by side. And now she understood why. It was incredibly awkward.
