Summary
After waiting for twenty years for the person she truly loved to return, Rui slowly builds a new life with someone else — a woman who loves her wholeheartedly, becomes her wife, and the mother of their child. Though Rui learns to smile again and tries to move forward, a part of her heart remains trapped in the past, still holding onto the love she could never forget.
For years, Rui convinces herself that the person she loved would someday come back to her, unaware that she had already been gone long before Rui learned the truth. In the end, Rui realizes that the love she spent decades waiting for was already lost the moment death took her away.
It is a story about grief, longing, and the painful reality of loving someone so deeply that even time, marriage, and a new life could never truly replace them.

Summary
The walls around the Quarantine Zone had been fortified with barbed wire and a tent had been set by the entrance to serve as Wumuti’s post. It was a simple set up, just a small desk and a chair and a small cabinet on wheels with any equipment that the doctor could need to check for symptoms.
-----
Fighting to survive a global zombie outbreak, Wumuti sets out alone towards a safe haven beyond the borders. Haunted by his past and struggling to find hope, he encounters a small group of people who will turn his world upside down and remind him of why humanity may still be worth saving.

Summary
“You still don’t understand, do you?” Rui murmured, as she tilted Wumuti’s head from side to side, “I’ve always been better than you, and I always will be. You belong beneath me, and the sooner you accept that, the better.”
(…)
“You know what everyone thinks?” Wumuti snapped, cutting Rui off completely, “They think you’re fake. You talk behind people’s backs, twist their words to make yourself look better and act like you’re above everyone else. You’re not perfect, you’re not even elegant. You’re just a manipulative, spoiled little Princess.”
Or, every interaction between Wumuti and Rui feels like a competition to see who can bring the other down furthest, and Rui seems determined to humiliate Wumuti at every given moment.
