Since he was a boy carting, Max Verstappen considered two facts true about Charles Leclerc. The first one was certainly subjective: Charles was, without a doubt, the one driver he enjoyed fighting against the most. [...]
The second fact was objectively the truth: Charles Leclerc was the prettiest person alive. Not just on the grid, in general. Even though the Bieber-hair impeded this truth to be known by everyone when they were younger. [...]
Even though the two facts had little to nothing to do with each other, Max still tried to keep them to himself, even if he could for the life of him not lie convincingly. It would not do him good if he was to show his preference for the Ferrari driver over his own teammates – Just like rambling over pretty people was embarrassing in general. When Max's sister signed him up for a dating show, he imagined that he would be on The Bachelor or Love is Blind (not that he wanted to do either of those). Never in his wildest dreams did he think that Victoria would sign him up for Love Island where he would be parading around in his swim suit all summer in hopes of finding love in the middle of Spain.
Max's goal then became to be as authentic as possible, not put up with any bullshit from other islanders, and to try not to cry on national television. Before leaving, Max told his sister that he would probably end up being dumped at the first chance available. Little did he know that after this summer, he would end up admitting that maybe, just maybe, Victoria granted him the biggest gift ever by submitting an application for him.

Maybe it should have been more obvious. Maybe the lack of information on the website should have clued him in. Maybe the STI panel questions, or the questions about shooting with partners… aw. Lance was maybe kind of a dumbass.

Summary
This has been the most surreal two hours of Charles’ life. As weird and fictional it sounded, they couldn’t deny the facts: They somehow ended up in another reality where their sport was completely different, and they now share the grid with the last 6 World Champions in the prime of their career.
They all regrouped in George’s hotel room, as the brit was setting up his powerpoint.
‘CRASH COURSE: HOW TO SURVIVE AN ALTERNATE REALITY’He must be going crazy, there’s no other explanation.
Or: 7 F1 drivers wake up in an alternate universe with a totally different 2024 grid. Follow them as they try to adapt racing along side some of the best drivers of the modern era.
