He is supposed to be moving right now. Nakamori–keibu will see him, catch him, throw his wrists into cuffs– they’ll know what he did. How could he even have managed to hide this for so long? Why would he break into his home–
He went through his stuff too. That has to be even more illegal, right? Invasion of privacy or something? But technically he had a right to see these pictures. They should have been in his possession, no? But that’s not his biggest problem right now, is it?
“Selfish,” he calls himself, venom lacing the word despite the low volume. For breaking in, for going through the pictures and not stopping, for not moving.
So what if he wants to be noticed? For once, not only because of his magic tricks, but for his sake?
It’s too late now, anyway.
The door cracks open.

Kaito’s paranoia has been growing and growing. He doesn't feel safe anywhere, besides a certain house, and makes a few questionable decisions before he actually finds comfort in someone that is way closer than he could've ever hoped for.
(Closure scares Kaito, and he has to learn how to deal with someone who cares for him.)
