    Right now, Nova was so far over the edge that she wasn’t even sure how long she’d been there.
    Her tears were hot against her cheeks, and when they fell, they left tiny scorch marks in the grass.
    She only cried fire when she cried in rage.
    A familiar warmth crept up her arms in spiraling flames. Normally, she would stop the flames before they got very far.
    Not tonight.
    She let the flames rise and engulf her.
