Summary
Kunikida takes a cold shower while waiting for whatever Dazai’s planning. His head remains foggy—thoughts cotton-thick—and it’s a pity he’s not more lucid because the bathroom is excessively luxurious. With the ceaseless arousal, though, Kunikida can’t properly appreciate the amenities. He comes out wearing nothing but a blush and a towel, having reluctantly abandoned propriety in the face of…all this. And it is a surprise to find Nakahara Chuuya standing in the middle of the room glaring down at Dazai where he’s again sprawled lazily on the couch. Chuuya flicks a glance to Kunikida, looking him up and down appraisingly.
A series of questions wait just beyond Kunikida’s reach. He might pencil in some time to dredge them up later, when all this inconvenience has passed. The only one he can string together is a helpless, “Where are my clothes?”
