    “-if you - wait - d-do what?”
    “I’ve been trying not to have this talk…” She’s looking everywhere but at him.

    A chill runs down his spine. “I think we should have it… I - I need it. If you don’t want to, it's okay. I get it. That’s enough of an answer… But I do think I need to hear it. The more time we spend together, the more I keep forgetting this is supposed to be fake. And this hasn’t felt fake for a while now. At least not to me.”

    He can see her conflicted face. She’s too transparent.
    He sighs, resigned. He’s sure that if they’re quiet enough, she can hear the sound of his heart shattering. “Does that mean you finally came up with a reason to break up with me then? Please tell me it’s not super herpes…”
    She barks a laugh, but also looks on the brink of tears. “I - I should be honest with you.”

    Steve’s heart falls to his ass.
    Right on time for her to stomp all over it.

    Because here it is. This has to be the moment when she breaks his heart.
    “I - I don’t think I’m a girl, Stevie.”

    WHAT?!

    What if Eddie's transition is what causes Steve’s sexuality crisis?
