Hesitating slightly at the doorway, he still contemplates just turning around and leaving. Roach is likely already settled into a well-appointed stall, but she would forgive him for dragging her away from such posh accommodations in a few weeks, surely. The lordling he’s meant to be here for would likely be cross at this breach of contract, but he thinks with no small amount of dark humor that it’s not as if his reputation can be dragged that much lower.
For a man already called Butcher, how worse could his day to day life get from the blue balled frustration of some viscount of a tiny coastal town?
He squares his shoulders after he considers the question, knowing already that the answer is “much fucking worse.”

He squints against the light pouring into the dimness of the room, eyes stinging at the contrast, growling low in his chest on instinct at the invasion. His medallion hums like a bee against his chest, reacting to incredibly strong magic in the immediate vicinity. He shifts his weight, ready to attack-
Only to nearly stumble with the change in balance when a puff of orange smoke at his side causes something to wrap around his wrist. He snarls, turning and raising his sword for a blow.
And then nearly drops the blade entirely at the sight of a painfully-familiar bard at his side, dangling from his arm with shining handcuffs joining their wrists.

Summary
“These are mine.”
Jaskier looks up at the sound of Geralt’s voice, blinking in surprise. The witcher’s tone is even, and his face unexpressive, but Jaskier still tries to read into the words. Geralt is holding a palmful of wrapped sweets in his hand, and a quick glance reveals them to be lemon candies, which Jaskier loves.
And which Geralt hates.
He frowns, confused.
“You don’t even like those,” he feels compelled to announce. His own lingering guilt and fear of being a burden after stealing Geralt’s dagger aside, it makes no sense why Geralt would suddenly decide to forbid candies he doesn’t even like when he’s never denied Jaskier things before. They’ve been to three other towns since then, and he hasn’t brought it up. Jaskier’s avoided any Mischief to avoid creating any problems since then, so it’s not as if he’s given him a pressing reason to suddenly feel the need to scold him.
“They’re mine,” Geralt continues, splitting them between both hands and tucking them into his pockets on either side. “So don’t steal them.”
(Jaskier is part fae and thus has a biological imperative for Mischief) (Geralt proves unexpectedly supportive about this)

Summary
Jaskier is attending Comic-Con to promote his show, "Dandelion" a musical thriller. While everything on the show is fiction, Jaskier has a penchant for danger and very quickly finds himself in a bit of trouble and into the arms of one delectable man who he feels drawn to. His heart whispers soulmate, but after his previous disaster with his soul mark, he can't bear to believe it true.
The punch in the gut tells him that much.

Geralt meanwhile attends Comic-Con not for the fanbase but for the rumor of a doppler hired for an assassination. He hates every second of it, from the loud noises to the horrible smells. And he's quite eager to kill the thing and be done with it. It should've been a simple mission anyway. That is, until the doppler attempts to kill some actor and Geralt goes feral for absolutely no reason.
And then, because Destiny is a heinous bitch, shit hits the fan. And Geralt soon finds himself stuck with a very loud and exasperating man as his new anchor.
