I missed it the last time you two played.” He picks up the crate again, letting out a small grunt of effort, and the sound makes Scara want to ball his fists for some reason, but he restrains himself. Then Sethos leans toward him, very narrowly avoiding the space Scara considered personal. “I’ll be rooting for you when I get back, Hat Guy.” He says it jokingly, but his voice drops lower as he nears him, almost lost to the chatter of the cafe, though Scara’s ears catch it easily and he pulls the brim of his hat down to try and escape showing the way it buzzes around in his mind pleasantly.
“Whatever.” He mutters lamely.
In which Scaramouche finds Sethos immensely attractive and he doesn't know what to do with himself, so he resorts to an unfailing(?) tactic: denial.

The man cut himself off as his eyes landed on Albedo. Although he had been the perfect picture of honed ferocity in battle only minutes prior from what little he could witness from afar (and even less so from the peak of the mountain the woman had taken him to) the young man now looked far more haggard than anything, leaning heavily on his spear for support, a dark aura emanating from him like a miasma. Albedo recalled both what he had read in preparation for this trip as well as what knowledge the Traveler had imparted to him, about the adepti of Liyue, and the lone surviving Yaksha that was duty bound to protect the nation from the festering remains of dead gods. The Conqueror of Demons, raised the gloved hand that was not already occupied with keeping himself from falling over from exhaustion, and pointed at Albedo's direction where he stood behind who he could only assume was another adeptus. “That is not a human,” he said.
Albedo distantly felt himself frown. Alright. Rude— although, he supposed, not entirely wrong.

Albedo passes the threshold of the realm of the adepti. All this serves to do is facilitate a meeting - one which Cloud Retainer is all too willing to nudge into a tentative friendship.

Read and go on a journey as these two find friendship and eventually love in each other. It won't be easy, it never was for demigods, and they have a lot of obstacles to face along the way, but what are obstacles against two stubborn demigods?
Fic takes place in Post-BoO to Post-ToA (Right before they leave for Tartarus.
