Summary
The Shepards, individually, are two of the finest soldiers the galaxy has ever seen. Commander John Shepard, a Vanguard, saved his battalion single-handedly during the Skyliian Blitz and steadily rose through the ranks, despite losing his father in the attack on Mindoir when he was young. Lieutenant Commander Mia Shepard, an Infiltrator, raised with their mother on various space stations and military bases, has a slightly muddier service record. She lost her entire battalion to Thresher Maws on Akuze, being the only survivor of the attack. Both soldiers rose to the designation of N7, completing some of the most difficult training courses in the galaxy. But even that wasn't enough to prepare them for a seemingly routine mission on a little colony world called Eden Prime.
Now, the fate of the galaxy rests on the Shepards and their rag-tag crew- well, and the voice in Mia's head.Series

Summary
The first contact war was followed by years of hot and cold warfare between humans and turians. Several attempts by the council to force a permanent truce has failed.
