Summary
After the sides sink out of Thomas’s latest dilemma, “Why is Dating Scary?” Virgil is absolutely exhausted. His mind is numb, his body aches from Logan’s constant teleporting around in that cramped-ass closet, and most importantly of all, he just felt so…crappy. Like all of this could’ve been avoided if he’d just not encouraged Thomas to do the things he did in his early 20’s. Roman notices Virgil’s somewhat sour mood, and feels obligated, as his partner, to do something about it.

“Why didn’t you tell me you invited someone else tonight?” Kenma huffed accusingly when Suga finally caught up. Suga reached forward and tucked back a piece of Kenma’s long black and pale blond hair that had come loose, revealing the small loop of platinum that graced the helix of his ear. The metal winked white fire in the light; Suga let it distract him as he decided how much to say.
“Because if we told you, you would have tried to bail on us,” he finally explained, rushing on before Kenma could protest. “And it wasn’t a sure thing until an hour or so ago. We aren’t setting you up but — we want you to meet this guy.”
“I wasn’t expecting a blind date.” Suga emphatically shook his head.
“It’s not like that, Kenma. I wouldn’t have agreed to it if I thought you wouldn’t get along with him,. He’s an old friend of ours from school and trust me, this little get together has been some time in the making.”Kozume Kenma does not want to date. His last relationship left him reeling; unsteady on his feet. When his friends bring someone new along to one of their nights out, he may find what he was looking for all along.

“So…” Iwaizumi dragged out the word. “What brings three volleyball players in various states of misery to the toilet?”
Tendou opened his mouth to interject. “I am not in a state of misery.”
“Toshi? Waka-kun? Nice kill? ‘You look so hot when you do the slamming ball thing?’”
“I may be in a state of misery.” amended Tendou.
“Well,” said Futakuchi, partly because he didn’t know how to respond and partly to gain their attention. “You said it yourself, heartbreak.”
