"Of course," he murmured, barely moving his lips, then cleared his throat — though he didn’t quite grasp why Barbatos couldn’t be allowed to grow bored.
"If he pulls another stunt at the gathering again, I won’t be able to stop myself from doing something extremely counterproductive," Lord Morax muttered fatalistically under his breath, stepping back. "So I beg you — if he asks for anything, do your best to accommodate him."

He expects that to be the only time he calls, but Barbatos seems to have other plans. One thing leads to another, and Xiao ends up calling the station each week – until a disastrous realisation at Barbatos’s first live performance.

Venti is no good with sadness. It sits in him like a dead weight. He does whatever he can to push it out. "I don’t think those will really help,” Venti says with a laugh.
“The roommate swap is next week. I wouldn’t hold it against you if you left. My roommate last year did the same thing.”
