El palacio de Ítaca, cuyos simientos algún día fueron gloriosos, en ese momento se encontraba putrefacto entre los banquetes que aquellos pretendientes de Penélope demandaban.
Con saña devoraban el legado de Odiseo, queriendo incluso poseer a su esposa y dominar a su hijo. La corona, el trono, todo el señorío de Ítaca parecían una ambrosía por la cual estaban dispuesto a todo.
Antínoo no respetaría al antiguo rey. ¿Estaba vivo o muerto? No le importaba: solo quería el trono. Un alfa como él lo merecía, le correspondía, era el mejor. Penélope tenía que elegirlo, o sangre correría en su tan preciado hogar.
La sangre de su querido hijo, Telémaco. Aquel beta insensato que se atrevía a ser arrogante aun cuando su cuerpo delgado y débil apenas podía sostener una espada sin temblar.
Telémaco es tan molesto... Ese beta...

Antínoo se lo pregunta cuando por fin huele algo, lo prohibido, aquello que lo enloquece. Entre aquellos pasillos, entre las palabras afiliadas, entre aquellas miradas llenas de tensión, surge un deseo que florece como un veneno.

Telemachus swallowed dryly, catching Antinous’ eyes momentarily dropping to his throat. “Are you threatening me?”
“Not at all,” Antinous said, his smile reminding Telemachus that it was a stupid, stupid, idea to try and manipulate him, to give him so much as a finger, but the ship had left the harbour and there was no turning back. He needed the protection only Antinous was in a position to offer. “I could tell them off. For a… price, naturally.”
(Or: Telemachus manipulates Antinous into making a deal and must reap the consequences as he struggles to remain in control against someone who has plenty of tricks of his own.)
