Summary
Jonathan Sims hated himself every time he flinched at Martin’s touch. It wasn’t fair, he didn’t deserve that, he’d never done anything to make John react that way. But Elias had. Jonah Magnus. They’d had a few weeks of bliss in Scotland, but he should have known his former boss would never let him go that easily.
Jonah had found a way to take control of Martin’s body and John couldn’t fight back or he’d risk hurting the man he loved.

“I wouldn’t expect a dog to apologize for biting. It’s handler, however.” Lukas’ eyes were on the Archivist and they were heavy, the creature’s eyes were on Lukas and its gaze was oppressing.
Fuck. That.
“You are insane if you think—“
“Tim, shut up.” The voice crackled like a whip again, but the thing did not look away from Lukas. Calculating something. Fuck if Tim knew what. “You’re not letting this go, are you? Of course not. What do you want?”
They were talking like Tim wasn’t even there and he was seething and Lukas kept watching The Archivist like a hunter whose trap finally closed around the leg of an elusive fox, the smirk on his face hungry.
“I’m not a greedy man, Archivist. It’s all up to you. You could just hand the nuisance over.” The creature with Jon’s face deepened its frown and clicked its tongue. Lukas’ eyebrows sunk as the corners of his smirk turned further up. “Have it your way. I won’t be difficult. It would be my pleasure to negotiate with you.”
OR
Tim is forced to confront his feelings about Jon in the worst way possible.

"I really do think there's a compromise that will benefit all of us," Elias continues, "And I would hate to have to resort to… less refined tactics."
"What do you want?" Jon tries to say it steadily, but it ends up as more of a resigned mutter.
Elias hums, fiddling with a pen in his left hand as he pretends to think it over.
"Compensation."
