“I'm starving,” ‘Hikaru’ admits. “That spirit earlier did nothing but make me crave more. I can’t have you so I’ll take whatever lingers ‘round here.” He’s suddenly far too close, body almost pressed to Yoshiki. “You don’t mind that, do you?”
Yoshiki knows he should. There’s still so many things he can’t understand about this entity’s true nature. He should probably turn his back and run away. He does no such thing.
“Okay,” he says instead.
‘Hikaru’ looks a little taken aback by his response. Then his expression settles back into a smile. “I love you so much,” he whispers. “I don’t know why you accept me so easily but you have no idea what you mean to me.” He laughs and steps away before Yoshiki can see those black tendrils threatening to slip away from the human body. “Anyway, I was wrong. There’s nothin’ here.”
