Summary
Steve would like to be able to say that he is impressed by the way Eddie manages to squeeze the highlights of what are clearly important and nuanced challenges into just five minutes, but he isn’t really paying much attention to what Eddie is saying. Instead, he is mesmerized by the way he is saying it, as if the future of Hawkins’ downtown is a fascinating story peopled by far more interesting characters than Steve has ever run into.
Plus, Eddie is gorgeous. His big dark eyes flash with suppressed glee, something not usually present at town committee meetings, and he punctuates his story with his hands, his silver rings catching the light.
Apparently serving on Town Meeting is going to be a lot more interesting than Steve had anticipated.
