Summary
One day, you're just a normal human returning home from work. The next, you're a dog in a universe where heroes exist.
You blame Death for this.
(In which Death doesn't let you say goodbye before dying, turns you into a dog, and sends you to an alternate universe. The Marvel universe, to be precise.) -

Summary
Sam Wilson just wants his goddamn sleep and, really, is that too much to ask for?
Ever since Steve and Natasha took refuge in his house during the events of The Winter Soldier, they've told everyone that it's totally fine to just barge into Sam's house and use it as a safe house. He won't mind - except, he kinda does.(Will be rewritten once I finish it because God, those early chapters are b a d.)

Summary
Steve Rogers stops by your cafe. One thing leads to another and next thing you know, you're on his motorbike and he's asked you out to dinner.
Also, you get to meet the Avengers and find out how welcoming they are.
You befriend a still-recovering Bucky Barnes, who really likes your company. Tony wants you to stay because he's a coffee and pie addict and you bake pies and brew coffee for a living. Maria and Natasha are dying to have another girl around. Bruce actually laughs at your jokes. Thor loves your baking. Clint and Sam love you.You finally see why Steve considers them as family and loves them with all his heart, even if they are inappropriate and childish at times (looking at you, Tony and Clint).

Summary
Steven Rogers, comic-book artist and former Captain in the US Army, is a True New Yorker through and through. But when his relationship falls apart, Steve is forced to move back to his hometown, where the inspirations for his comic books lie.
Following the death of his father and then his mother two years afterwards, Bucky has been left raising his little sister Becca, and he is doing a damn fine job of it, thank you very much. He hasn't been distracted by cars or women since he took up his role as a guardian - in fact, he hadn't been distracted at all until a certain Steve Rogers appears on his doorstep.
However, both of them have dramatically changed from the time they were best friends. Bucky doesn't know that Steve didn't come back from war unscathed. Steve doesn't know that Bucky has always been completely and utterly in love with him.
In a tale that focuses on the loss of childhood innocence, the pressures of society and the stigmas associated with trauma, Steve and Bucky learn to trust again, and maybe fall in love along the way.
(Thankfully, not aided by Clint Barton's Love Barn.)

Summary
In 1987, Timothy Dugan released a book of memoirs; an account that followed his travels and adventures with the military group known as the Howling Commandos from 1943 to 1945. The short novel has been praised as a “beautiful and tragic retelling of history” that offers insight to America’s most famous, beloved, and mysterious group of soldiers. It has also come under some scrutiny as historians and critics debate whether Dugan’s novel is actually a work of fiction and not a true account of events. Regardless of the origin of the stories told in Brothers, it has touched the hearts of many and remains one of the most talked about publications over the past thirty years. With the return of Captain America in 2012, Brothers has once again become a must-read book, and is the number one pick for our book of the month, year, decade, and possibly century.

Summary
“Hang in there, buddy, you’re gonna be okay. Keep breathing. Don’t go to sleep on me now. You’re gonna be just fine…”
The voice is calm, consistent to a fault, but tinged with a panic that Nix knows doesn’t quite belong there. He squints open his eyes to see an angel carrying him – halo of fire swirling around his head, soot marring his perfect skin, lips pursed in a determined line.
“Oh, fuck,” Nix says, and those stormy blue-gray eyes flicker down to meet his. “Didn’t think I was going to heaven, but I’ll take it.”
Then he lets the night embrace him.
