Summary
Izuku Midoriya had been in love with Ochako Uraraka for years - but she was in love with Katsuki Bakugou (and if he never had to hear about Kachaan's abs again it would be too soon).
Eijirou Kirishima had been crazy about Katsuki Bakugou since their first year at UA. But he was in love with Ochako Uraraka (and if he never had to hear another cheesy pun about her quirk and 'walking on air' it would be too soon.)
So when the Best Men at the wedding get left behind by their best friends who are lost in the Newlywed Haze - they figure out that they actually have more in common than they think. Why wait for their best friends to be free to do things when there is a person right there to do the things with? So they start to adventure out and about together because they get how the other is feeling. They understand the pain of unrequited love.
Meanwhile - the rest of their friends are trying to figure out when Izuku and Eijirou are going to figure out these are incredibly date-like non-dates. Whether or not there is a bet riding on this is inconsequential.
