Summary
Izuku Midoriya learns early how to love quietly.
Katsuki Bakugou has always burned brighter than the stars—loud, incandescent, impossible not to orbit. Izuku knows what he is, knows better than to reach too close. Especially when Bakugou’s heart has already chosen someone else.
So Izuku smiles. He supports. He moves on.
Or at least, he tries.
Because loving someone like Katsuki is like blowing smoke into the dark—watching something beautiful disappear the moment it leaves your hands. The memories linger anyway, settling into the spaces Izuku thought he’d outgrown, reminding him of everything he never said and everything Bakugou never noticed.
Izuku respects the love Katsuki builds with Eijirou Kirishima. He means it. He just wishes–quietly, selfishly,that once, Bakugou had looked at him the same way.
In the end, Izuku stands beneath a sky full of light he will never touch, applauding as Katsuki promises forever to someone else, knowing some stars are not meant to be wished on.
Only admired from afar.
