Ilya smoothed his thumb over the nape of Shane’s neck, murmuring in Russian,
“Moy lyubimyy, do you need to pee?”
Shane groaned softly, nodding wetly as he hastily put his waterbottle down on the board,
“Gotta pee”, he replied softly, the last word coming out as a sob.
Ilya looked up at Coach Wiebe and cleared his throat loudly,
“Shane is not feeling well. I will take him to the bathroom,” he declared, taking Shane by the wrist. Coach Wiebe nodded easily, gesturing toward the locker rooms,
“Take your time, we’ll run some team building drills while you’re at it.”
Or
Shane gets desperate at pre-season practice. Ilya takes care of it, and then some.

Summary
Ilya liked Shane’s parents. He really did. David and Yuna Hollander were entirely devoted to their only child–maybe sometimes a bit intense, if not a little overbearing, in Yuna’s case–and their attentiveness had moulded him into a kind, hardworking, and thoughtful man. Truly, their son was a testament to the quality of both their character’s–Shane’s soft underbelly nurtured by his father’s patient tone and earnest gaze and his shrewdness and talent sharpened by his mother’s fierce mettle. Shane was the sum of his parent’s parts, yet entirely his own, and Ilya was very grateful to the tender, yet firm, hands that had shaped the man he loved. But right now, well, right now Ilya was not their biggest fan.
Jane:
My parents are going to be staying at my place after the game on Friday.Ilya missed Shane. Ilya really needed to have sex with Shane. Now the man's parents were in the way.
Or: Ilya is finally seeing Shane for the first time since their summer at the cottage but Shane's parents crash their first evening alone in weeks. Set during that agonising final season Ilya plays for Boston.

The question makes Shane’s brain short circuit.
Shane swallows. “I mean—yeah.”
“Then why haven’t you?”
“I don’t know.” Shane shrugs again, shoulders tight. “Timing. People. It’s just… not something I think about like that.”
That’s not entirely true.
He does think about it. Just in a different way. Abstractly. Like something other people do, but not he himself.
Ilya watches him for a long moment.
“I could show you.”

“H’rder,” Shane whines into his mouth, not even trying to interrupt the kiss but speaking pathetically muffled and slurred around Ilya’s tongue.
Ilya knocks their foreheads together, smiles.
“Nooooo Ilya, not before the game, Ilya,” he whines, a sweetly mocking imitation of Shane, “and now look at you, mhm? Why should I ever listen to your complaining, baby, when you’re gonna be such an easy, perfect slut for it anyways?”
Or: Shane plays four-dimensional chess to get Ilya to fuck him even when he tells him no, for Shane-typical control freak reasons, in Shane-typical convoluted ways, with Shane-typical unawareness of this being a sex freak thing. Ilya provides, of course.
