    Summary

Mia Kelly had been, for a year, a wife. Then she was not.
She went to California. She took the dogs. She answered the phone when it was Grace and Jean and her mother and she did not, for three months, answer it when it was Jack. He wrote anyway. He sent books she would have killed for — a Keats, a Dickinson, a signed Millay — and he did not ask for anything back.
In January, she said yes to the Broadway run she had given up in 'fifty-five because a junior senator from Massachusetts had asked her to. She had always wondered. Now she would know.
She went to New York. She sang eight shows a week. She let him write. She let him wait.
Then one night in May he flew in unannounced and stood at the stage door in the rain.

(Or: how a marriage survives — and doesn't, and does — between a separation and the biting Texas sun. Seven years, the White House, the rose garden, and the woman who was Mrs. Kennedy and Mia Kelly and her own self, all at once, all the way through).

    Summary

Mia Kelly was Jean Kennedy’s best friend before she was anything else. Roommates at twelve, inseparable by thirteen, practically family by the time Ethel married Bobby and Mia sat in a wooden church pew in a marshmallow pink dress and tried not to cry.
She knew the Kennedys the way you know the weather in a place you’ve lived too long — instinctively, without thinking. She knew which brothers to avoid at Monopoly, which topics not to raise at dinner, and that Jack, the second eldest, was charming and careless and none of her business.
    Then he heard her sing.
“I didn’t recognize you,” he said backstage, still holding his coat, looking at her like she was someone he'd never met. She laughed. She thought he meant the hair.
    He didn’t mean the hair.

(Or: how Grace Kelly’s twin, Broadway’s golden girl, falls in love with the one man she’s spent half her life trying not to notice).

He was sunshine incarnate and Sasuke burned inside just being near him. His eyes were playful and staring down at Sasuke, a smirk tugging at his lips, slightly chapped. Breathing became difficult and Sasuke had the wildest thought of leaning up, and just kissing him. He blinked.

What the actual fuck was that?

    Summary

Devi Chandran, a thirty year old doctor, dies suddenly in a hit-and-run… and wakes up sixteen again in 2004 Forks, Washington. Which was already bad enough. Except Forks is that Forks, the one from the Twilight books she devoured as a teenager.

Devi decides immediately that the smartest thing she can do is stay out of it. Bella Swan will show up soon, Edward Cullen will fall hopelessly in love with her, and the entire messy supernatural drama will unfold exactly the way it’s supposed to. She wants absolutely no part in it.

    Unfortunately, Edward seems to disagree.

For reasons she can’t understand, Edward becomes fascinated with the strange new girl in town whose mind doesn’t work the way everyone else’s does. The harder she tries to avoid him, the more their lives seem to collide. Soon Edward is laughing more than he has in decades, Devi is developing feelings she definitely isn’t supposed to have, and Bella is watching the boy she likes grow closer to someone else.

Devi is determined not to interfere with the story. But the story might already be changing. And the more time she spends with Edward, the harder it becomes to pretend she doesn’t belong in it.
