The 141 being snowed under with intel and digital tech they can't decipher, ask Laswell to send them Digital Specialist to assist them. She is not what Ghost expects and she triggers changes in his life that he never expected to experience.
This is a slow burn friendship/love story. I wanted to give Simon 'Ghost' Riley some much needed love, happiness and comfort. The story doesn't follow the events of the Modern Warfare stories, but does borrow details from canon.
This is my first attempt at writing for others, so constructive comments are welcome. The story has been living in my head for a year and only recently decided to write it down. I hope you all enjoy a different take on our boy Simon.

It was either die of disease or malnutrition in your cell, long forgotten by anyone who'd known your name, or be found by either side of the conflict and be killed. Death had called to you for a while; you didn't fear it. Armed with nothing more than a knife and the watchful eyes of your mysterious lieutenant, you’re sent into the lion’s den to lure and capture the enemy. Though, the mission doesn’t go well for you and Ghost is left to pick up the pieces.
You find that your relationship after transforms into something new… something closer. He promises to protect you, and he fully intends on keeping that promise.
TLDR: an angsty slow burn between reader and Ghost following some serious trauma bonding and military fraternization ;)

Always making sure that the squad would never be crossed again. All you wanted to do, was remain in your self-purgatory away from the world burning around you.
And this masked man, made it nearly if not impossible to do so.
WARNING: There are some really graphic, rated R scenes in this story. Very much following the lore, line, and rating of the Modern Warfare games. As well as, this is a mix of the old series and the new series. It doesn't follow one storyline in particular, but does pull key factors in from all games to compile one story.

In exchange for not getting court martial, she is recruited and trained to be a killer just like her enigmatic, dark, guiltless new lieutenant... while she fights off the demons of her past while trying to fight for her future, she's drawn into Ghost's darkness and he's drawn to the flame she continually hides from him. Light and dark collide like fire and gasoline, explosions and death are bound to follow.
This story is based completely off of the COD MWII game, along with parts of the story of my own included. I do not own nor created any characters from the game. Written from Jamie's POV with some of Ghosts POV.

Every time one of the Task Force 141 dies, you wake up in your cot again, the day before you were shipped off to join them on their hunt for Hassan and eventually Makarov.
You knew exactly how each day would go from here on out until you got to your last ‘checkpoint.’ Your mind was barely able to understand what exactly was happening to you, and why it only happened to you.
In your second iteration, you had assumed it was all some long, bad dream, but it had always felt too real, that was, until you made it back to the bomb again. Soap died every time, sometimes sooner, sometimes after the fact. In some iterations. You would make such a fuss about the mission that they would leave you behind at base, only for you to restart again once Soap died on the mission.
After catching your breath and wiping your forehead free of sweat, you looked down at the number you had tattooed into your arm. After every reset, you would stick and poke a new number into your wrist to keep track of how many times you had been sent back to the past.
